01 / MEET JO ANN

Storyteller.
Songwriter.
Memory keeper.

A lifetime of turning real moments into words, music, and memories worth keeping.

Born near Blountsville, Alabama, Jo Ann grew up at Rainbow Crossing in a hardworking family. Books, music, cooking, faith, and family became lasting threads in her life.

She and Jerry shared fifty-two years of marriage, raised three children, built Bullard Roofing, and worked their farms together. After his death in 2021, her story entered a difficult season of grief, illness, recovery, and eventually renewed companionship.

Along the way came original songs recorded in Nashville and locally, her cookbook Playing with Fire, and the memoir she had wanted to share for years.

AFTER THE STORM

The storm was
not the whole story.

A home was lost. A red rosebush remained.
And a story of resilience began to bloom.

02 / THE MEMOIR

Reasons
& RosesA memoir about what survives.

The story begins with a tornado that destroyed Jo Ann’s son’s home, and a red rosebush that remained standing in the yard.

From childhood in Blount County to falling in love with Jerry, waiting through his year in Vietnam, building a family, and slowly learning to live forward after loss, Jo Ann tells a story that is tender without pretending life is easy.

Each format opens on Amazon.com in a new tab.
